the Monday Musings column from that consultant bloke

A few months back I recommended some text books to a group that I was helping with their professional development. They considered what I had suggested, but felt that they already had too many text books and what they really wanted was a quick guide that they could have in e-book format on their ‘phone or tablet.

Food for thought, and I came up with about a dozen possible titles. The thought lay somewhat fallow until yesterday when I decided that nothing happens unless you make it so and from that, in the last 24 hours, the first title has been written and published on Kindle. More will follow and I’ll provide a fuller update here soon. They are not intended to be in depth studies of their subjects because there are plenty of good books already out there if you need them, but instead they are there to fill that gap for something quick and easy that you can have on your mobile device for reference when you need it.

As always I welcome feedback, so tell me what you think, and tell me if there are topics that you would like to see covered. This could become a sort of improvisational writing; you shout out the topic and I’ll write it. Maybe I could even consider doing it in a certain style? That could be something: ThatConsultantBloke’s Quick Guide to Procurement in the style of Shakespeare’s Hamlet – To Buy or not to buy, that is the question. Could be fun if I could keep it up for a few thousand words.
